Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient substance abuse rehab program that is just below intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help people who need intensive rehab for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not require twenty-four hour intervention and care. For a client who has finished inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Grand Chenier could help them make the transition more easily into a sober lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the individual could then transition into regular outpatient care.
When someone is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they typically participate in services in the range of 3-5 days per week. It is similar to an in-patient treatment program in many significant ways, including the fact that individuals will get access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can address the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hrs on the days that individuals participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive one-on-one addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, receive any required medical care and address any of the mental health symptoms that trigger their alcohol and drug addiction.
