Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs - Fairplay, MD.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need addiction treatment in Fairplay, this program can cover certain recovery programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various types of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the individual's lifetime.

People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
