Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
