Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient alcohol and drug rehab program that is just below intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help individuals who need intensive rehabilitation for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not need twenty-four hour intervention and care. For a client who has finished inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Highland could help them make the transition more easily into a drug-free way of life as a viable "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then phase into regular outpatient treatment.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment facility, they commonly participate in services in the range of 3-5 days per week. It is very much like an inpatient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hours on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any required medical care and deal with any of the mental health problems that are triggering their drug and alcohol addiction.
