Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities - Tuscarora, MD.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals who do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehabilitation in Tuscarora, Medicare may cover certain rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses for outpatient substance abuse rehab. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for individuals who want supplemental coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
