Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation program which is just below intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also tailored to people who require intense treatment for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but don't require around the clock intervention and treatment. For a client who has finished inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Denmark could help them make the transition more easily into a drug-free lifestyle as a "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then phase over to regular outpatient treatment.
When someone is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they typically participate in services in the range of 3-5 days a week. It is like an inpatient program in many significant ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hrs on the days that individuals participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, they will receive one-on-one addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, get any necessary medical care and deal with any of the mental health issues that are triggering their drug addiction.
