Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient substance abuse rehab program that is just below intensive out-patient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who require in-depth rehab for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but don't require twenty-four hour supervision and treatment. For a client who has completed inpatient treatment, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Sanford could help them transition more easily into a sober way of life as a "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then phase over to regular outpatient care.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment facility, they commonly participate in services anywhere from 3-5 days per week. It is similar to an in-patient treatment program in many significant ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hrs on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will get personalized addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, get any needed medical care and address any of the mental health symptoms that trigger their drug addiction.
