Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs - West Poland, ME.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people who do have Medicare and require substance abuse recovery services in West Poland, this program may pay for certain recovery programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various kinds of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient substance abuse rehab. Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want additional coverage in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
