Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse recovery services in Bruce Crossing, this program will cover various treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain kinds of medical care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the costs for outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want additional coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
