Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers - Clinton Township, MI.

The armed forces currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which allows access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can choose a primary care physician and get referrals to health care services that offer specialty care.

Through TRICARE, members of the military can receive substance abuse treatment services in Clinton Township. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various treatment services. They will need pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detox are limited to no more than 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detoxification will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time restrictions as to how long military members will be allowed to remain in treatment. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is typically accepted. Additionally, there are 60 group therapy sessions and 15 family therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which are done on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished other primary treatment services such as inpatient or outpatient treatment.
