Naltrexone is an additional drug used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned here it's an opiate blocker and isn't an opiate. There is an option to take this medication as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents an individual from getting high from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse.
