Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers - Empire, MI.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people who do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol recovery services in Empire, Medicare may cover certain rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
