Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Erie, MI.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and need substance abuse rehabilitation in Erie, this program may pay for certain rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different forms of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses for outpatient substance abuse rehab. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs administered by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want supplemental coverage aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
