Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs - Grand Rapids, MI.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people who do have Medicare and require substance abuse recovery services in Grand Rapids, this program can cover various rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various kinds of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs administered by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.

People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
