Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs - Muskegon, MI.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and require addiction rehabilitation in Muskegon, this program can pay for various treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees for outpatient substance abuse rehab. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want additional coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as those required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
