Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers - Norway, MI.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol recovery services in Norway, this program can pay for certain recovery programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the expenses for outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for individuals who want additional health insurance in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal and those required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
