Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Reading, MI.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and require drug or alcohol treatment in Reading, this program will pay for various rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various types of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want additional coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
