Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation program which is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than normal out-patient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help individuals who need intensive rehabilitation for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but do not need twenty-four hour intervention and treatment. For a person who has completed inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Tower could help them transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free way of life as a viable "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then phase into regular out-patient treatment.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they typically take part in services in the range of three to five days per week. It is very much like an inpatient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will get access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hours on the days that people participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will get one-on-one addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, receive any required medical care and deal with any of the mental health symptoms that are triggering their drug and alcohol addiction.
