Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities - Alberta, MN.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people that do have Medicare and require addiction recovery services in Alberta, Medicare may pay for various recovery programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want supplemental health insurance in addition to what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
