The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can pick a primary doctor and obtain referrals to health care services that offer specialty care.
Through TRICARE, members of the military can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in Cass Lake. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other recovery services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there are likely to be some limitations. Military insurance covers both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to 7 days.
