Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Minneapolis, MN.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need substance abuse rehabilitation in Minneapolis, this program can pay for certain rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for people who want supplemental coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
