Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
