Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities - St. Cloud, MN.

The armed forces currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which allows access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can select a primary doctor and obtain referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in St. Cloud. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other rehabilitation services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both outpatient and inpatient, but inpatient services for detoxification are limited to no more than 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detoxification will only be authorized if it is an approved facility, and there are time restrictions as to how long military insurance carriers will be allowed to stay in rehab. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is typically permitted. Additionally, there are 60 group therapy sessions and 15 family therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which take place on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished prior treatment services such as outpatient or inpatient treatment.
