Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Viking, MN.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol treatment in Viking, this program will cover certain rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want additional health insurance in addition to what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
