It too is taken daily, and is priced approximately $450 monthly. Naltrexone is another med used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications aforementioned it's an opioid blocker and is not an opiate. A person has the choice to take this drug as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents a person from experience high feelings from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 per month.
