The armed forces currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they go to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can select a primary doctor and get referrals to organizations that offer specialty care.
Through TRICARE, members of the military can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in Cameron. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other substance abuse recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance covers both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to 7 days.
