Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient substance abuse rehab program that is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal out-patient treatment. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also tailored to individuals who need intensive rehab for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but do not require 24 hour supervision and care. For someone who has completed inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Hurdland could help them transition more easily into a sober lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then phase over to regular out-patient care.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment facility, they typically participate in services anywhere from 3-5 days a week. It is similar to an in-patient program in many significant ways, including the fact that clients will get access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hours on the days that people participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive individual addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, receive any necessary medical care and address any of the mental health symptoms that trigger their alcohol and drug addiction.
