Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help people who require intensive rehabilitation for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but don't require around the clock intervention and treatment. For a client who has completed inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Stet could be of help to them make the transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free way of life as a "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then transition over to regular out-patient care.
When someone is in a partial hospitalization day treatment facility, they typically take part in services in the range of 3-5 days a week. It is very much like an in-patient program in many significant ways, including the fact that people will get access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hours on the days that clients attend partial hospitalization day treatment, they will get one-on-one addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any needed medical care and deal with any of the mental health problems that are triggering their drug and alcohol addiction.
