Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol rehabilitation in Black Eagle, Medicare can cover certain rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, this applies to the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehab. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications administered by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want supplemental health insurance apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
