Naltrexone is another medication used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned it's an opioid blocker and isn't an opioid. There is an option to take this medication as a monthly injection, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents someone from getting high from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 per month.
