Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities - Amidon, ND.

The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to civilian health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can pick a primary care physician and get referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, members of the military can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in Amidon. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other rehab services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but inpatient services for detoxification are limited to 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detoxification will only be authorized if it is a Tricare approved treatment center, and there are time restrictions as to how long military insurance carriers will be permitted to stay in treatment. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is commonly permitted. In additional to this, there are 60 group therapy sessions and 15 family therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which are done on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has completed other treatment services such as inpatient or outpatient treatment.
