Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient drug and alcohol addiction rehab program that is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal out-patient treatment. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help individuals who may need intensive rehab for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not need 24 hour supervision and care. For a client who has completed inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Franklin could help them make the transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free lifestyle as a "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then transition into regular out-patient treatment.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they typically participate in services in the range of 3-5 days a week. It is similar to an in-patient treatment program in many significant ways, including the fact that individuals will get access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to conquer. For at least 4-6 hours on the days that individuals participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive individual addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, receive any needed medical care and address any of the mental health problems that trigger their alcohol and drug addiction.
