The armed forces currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they go to any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which allows access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can choose a primary care physician and obtain referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.
Through TRICARE, military members can acquire drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in Ogallala. This encompasses individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other substance abuse recovery services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to no more than 7 days.
