Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Littleton, NH.

The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 years of age or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary doctor and get referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can receive substance abuse rehabilitation services in Littleton. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various rehab services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detox are restricted to no more than 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detoxification will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time restrictions as to how long military insurance carriers are allowed to stay in rehab. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is usually accepted. In additional to this, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which are done on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished other primary rehabilitation services such as inpatient or outpatient treatment.
