The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which allows access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary doctor and get referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.
By way of TRICARE, members of the military can receive drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in Haskell. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other treatment services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there are likely to be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detox are restricted to 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detoxification will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time limits as to how long military insurance carriers are permitted to remain in treatment.
