A person has the choice to take this drug as a monthly shot, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents an individual from experience high feelings from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 monthly.
