Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
