Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient substance abuse treatment program that is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than regular outpatient rehabilitation. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who may need intense rehabilitation for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but do not require 24 hour supervision and treatment. For a person who has completed inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Blodgett Mills could help them transition more easily into a drug-free way of life as a "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then transition into regular out-patient treatment.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly take part in services in the range of 3-5 days per week. It is similar to an in-patient program in many significant ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can address the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hours on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, they will receive one-on-one addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any necessary medical care and deal with any of the mental health symptoms that are triggering their alcohol and drug addiction.
