Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centers - Brooklyn, NY.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need addiction rehabilitation in Brooklyn, this program may pay for various rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the costs associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for individuals who want supplemental coverage in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
