The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
