Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs - Denmark, NY.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people that do have Medicare and require substance abuse treatment in Denmark, Medicare will pay for certain rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the person's lifetime.

People who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
