When an individual in East Nassau needs drug abuse treatment but doesn't have health insurance or the funds to pay for treatment in full, the Access to Recovery Voucher is an alternative to consider. ATR is a federally-funded plan which provides the means for qualified people to access treatment programs and support including inpatient programs, intensive outpatient, regular outpatient, continuing care, counseling, life coaching and recovery support, skills building, vocational training, and transportation assistance. The ATR grant program allows those individuals with vouchers to purchase treatment and recovery support services for substance use disorders at the provider of their choice.
