Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of care.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
