Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers - Fort Drum, NY.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehabilitation in Fort Drum, this program will cover various rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. People who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
