The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug given are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted individuals.
