Access to Recovery Voucher - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities - New York, NY.

When an individual in New York needs drug or alcohol rehab but doesn't have private health insurance or the money to pay for treatment in full, the Access to Recovery Voucher is possibly an option to look into. ATR is a federally-funded program which provides the means for individuals to access addiction treatment programs and support including inpatient programs, intensive outpatient, regular outpatient, continuing care, counseling, life coaching and recovery support, vocational training, skills building, and transportation assistance. The ATR grant program allows those individuals with vouchers to purchase treatment and recovery support services for addiction disorders at the provider of their choice. To be eligible for ATR clients must meet certain criteria, including: 1) must be 18 years or older, 2) have a history of substance abuse and addiction, 3) have an annual income that is below 200% of the Federal poverty level, and 4) reside in the counties or jurisdictions that provide ATR.
