Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need addiction rehabilitation in Poland, this program will cover certain rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of treatment.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation. This includes outpatient services, therapy, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want additional health insurance in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
