The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
