Opioid rehab facilities authorized by SAMSHA need to get licensed also by their own state. In addition, they must register with the Drug Enforcement Administration through a local DEA branch. Once an opioid treatment center is certified, it must be re-certified every year or every three years contingent upon the type of certification that was granted.
