It too is taken every day, and is priced around $450 monthly. Naltrexone is another med taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned it is an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. There is an option to take this medication as a monthly shot, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents someone from getting high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 /month.
